WINC™ Trainer
Jill Vyse

Jill Vyse, a Trainer with international experience, has been working with families and their babies since 1991. She did her instructor training with Evelyn Guyer, RN at the University of Syracuse, in the United States, where her interest in babies with special needs was born. After certification, she volunteered in the Special Care Nursery of a teaching hospital in order to ‘acclimatize‘  to the world of very sick babies and their parents. This experience was one of the primary reasons motivating her to apply for Trainer Status within the World Institute for Nurturing Communication.

She has a university degree as well as Teaching Certification in her academic background that allows for a great depth of knowledge to share. Several years of teaching adults new skills gives her the practical experience necessary for leading the CIMI program.

Jill has presented her work across Canada, the United States, Spain, New Zealand, Ireland and England. She was invited to Korea and led three sessions of the instructor training certification in Seoul and Pusan.   Her teaching in mentioned in two books, “Smart Child, Strong Child” by S. Thompson and “Family Bonding” by Evelyn Guyer, and as well, she has been a repeat guest on national television and CBC radio. She is past president of the IAIM - Canadian Chapter and secretary of the International Board.

She has a passion for this work and for teaching! Her next goal is to finish her book “A Little Bit of Fun” designed for instructors and parents. The book gives ideas for songs and chants for each body part in the IAIM massage sequence. It gives parents’ permission to be more child-like and share some silly time with their babies and young children.

Jill’s two children are now young adults and her family unit has included several foster children. Presently, she is teaching parent education classes for the city of Ottawa, Ontario and lecturing across Canada.  She loves to travel and is currently seeking out interested people to coordinate IAIM, Inc. Trainings.

Evaluation Excerpt

“She brings excitement, energy and a certain dynamic to the theory portion of the training. The participants are lead through the practical sessions with patience, skill and a deep understanding of the way adults learn”
